My Personal Story

I always  knew I wanted to study biology. The human body—and the ways the environment and nutrition influences it—have fascinated me ever since. My active lifestyle (whether dancing ballet, sailing, or playing volleyball) made me feel good and indeed, over the years, helped preserve my health.

With a University degree in biology I naturally progressed to researching cancer and nutrition:  I completed a fellowship in this field at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States.

After moving to Germany, I shifted my career toward therapeutic practice. I wanted to work directly with people and apply my deep knowledge to help them achieve better health.

My Approach

I believe in keeping nutrition counseling  personal and attentive, grounded in strong scientific and medical foundation. I take time to truly get to know my clients and all the factors that affect their health: their family situation, work environment, lifestyle, hobbies, preferences, and dislikes. I also review their personal and family medical history.

I see each person as a whole — body, mind, and environment — and together we create a lifestyle plan that fits them personally. We build a simple, tasty, and realistic meal plan for day-to-day life. I encourage small, consistent steps for positive, supportive and enjoyable change process.

The key: Keep it simple, stress free, be grateful and generous with yourself along the process, and follow your intuition.  And last but not least, be patient, trust the process.

So, if you feel it is time to make a change toward a healthier lifestyle, if you want to prevent or to treat  an existing metabolic condition,  I’d be happy to support you.
